Rhys has written, directed and produced his own work, as well as co-creating shows for other performers. He knows how difficult it can be to take something that exists in your head and turn it into something that works onstage.
We can help find the story, work out the structure and develop the idea into a show. If you've already got something on its feet, we can provide an outside eye, dramaturgical support or directing.
We're interested in the whole show: structure, audience journey, coherence, rhythm and flow. Sometimes you need someone to help you work out what the show is. Sometimes you need someone to tell you that the second act isn't working. We're happy with both.
We can work collaboratively in the room or take a more consultancy-based approach, depending on what you need.

For us, creativity doesn't stop with the script or the performer.
We're interested in what happens when you start playing with everything else a show can be: set, music, lighting, sound, effects, puppetry, magic and whatever else might make the idea work.
Rhys has extensive experience with magic and theatrical effects, and Wicked Pig has a growing network of designers, makers and specialists we can bring into a project when the right idea needs the right person.
We're particularly interested in multidisciplinary work and shows that start with a compelling story, then find an interesting way to tell it.

There isn't a fixed Wicked Pig process.
We can work with you from the first spark of an idea, come in for a few sessions to help crack a problem, or stick around throughout the development and production of a show.
However we work together, the aim is simple: to help you make something you're excited about, and make sure the theatrical idea is as good as the original one in your head.
